First and second ride

My bike  is  now  complete since a few weeks already. The first time  i’ve tried, only 50 meters only   because  my chain broke, the chain link in fact.  After repairing it   a tried the second attempt and broke the chain 200 m erters away this time. So i went to halfords and  putrchased  a sigma taya link. A real shit, it’s impossible  to install it. Some people can but  definitely not me. Finally the  local bike shop had the  kmc that i need  and  5 seconds later everythnig  was ko.

As i don’t know where to go and not to be lost  in the middle  of nowhere, a quick visit  no googlemap to know  where it is possible to go.

from doncaster to high melton, not a lot  but for me  who didn’t ride a bike for  3.5 years this  is  really  hard now.

This  sunday 28 march i took the same  way but  went further , so about 22 kilometers. i was on my knee, really with no legs at all. moreover when i had to climb even if  there’s  no hill ! Just  me   trying  to find  my muscles . I’m 71 kilos for 1.79. 3.5 years earlier i was weighting between 63 and 67 max, an averange  of 63 kg.

Roads are not so bad  considering it is  countryside. A least  i consider it  as  a good training, the aim isn’t to go fast  but to do well and  relearn what i’ve lost.

My tires are veloflex, good ones nothing bad to say maybe  not so comfortable  but the roads didn’t help.

I bought a new seatpost, made of carbon, so that i wont’t have to use  the  31.6 shim with my 27.2 tune seatpost. Consequently instead of a seatpost total weight of 187+43.3gr =230.3gr (tune seatpost + shim) i can gain 52.3gr.

New seatpost branded Exotic  even if  you can find it  with different name (velocity for example). 31.6, length is  30cm and titanium bolts .

Less than 15gr for the seat post clamp including the bolt

The bottom bracket isnt so light. 198gr is good but away from the best. however it is smooth with its bearings. ENG and 108mn. ISIS

this crankset isnt so light because the same weight as an fsa tem issue or fsa slk, but different it is pretty and different because the star weight less than the previous quoted and i like the black and red thanks to the bolts. ISIS. cranks are 39-53 and 170mn
